The Endowment Fund is managed by Acadia Trust, a subsidiary of Camden National Bank, in coordination with the Association’s Finance Committee. Fund-raising efforts commenced in 1999, and since that time we have raised over $840,000. That is $160,000 shy of our goal of $1,000,000. This has been possible only through the hard work and generous gifts With continued financial support from Ellsworth High School alumni and the community, we will reach our goal of a $1,000,000 endowment. If you have not yet made a commitment to this program, please consider doing so. No gift is too small or too large. If you are not in a position to make a gift at this time, you might consider providing for the Ellsworth High School Alumni Endowment through a bequest. For more information on giving a gift/pledge or making a bequest, please contact: Treasurer EHSAA PO Box 11 Ellsworth, ME 04605.

Scholarship Awards Committee

The Scholarship Awards Committee is charged with reviewing and selecting on an annual basis the candidates who best meet the established criteria for being awarded an EHSAA Scholarship. Since 1999 we have awarded over $318,000 in scholarships to more than 168 alumni attending 63 institutions of higher learning across the United States and Canada. A committee consisting of two members of the EHSAA Board of Directors and two former school teachers select scholarship awardees.  Award criteria include: diploma/GED graduate or student in good standing anticipating graduation from EHS; and is either currently enrolled in or has been accepted in an associate, bachelors, masters or Ph.D. degree program. Awards are based on academic merit, other outstanding qualifications, and financial need. An essay detailing personal goals and aspirations must accompany the application. Applications are available on this website and at Ellsworth High School at the beginning of each calendar year. If you have any questions regarding the scholarship process, please contact – Scholarship Committee Chair EHSAA – PO Box 11 – Ellsworth, ME 04605.
